Forgive the stuffy third person...

Claudia D. Christian is a writer whose obsession is to create and deliver compelling, miserable love stories. She was born in Panama City, Panama in 1977 to an American father and a Panamanian mother. Coming from two very different cultures has undoubtedly influenced her writing characterizations of characters at odds with themselves. Although childhood didn't hold aspirations of becoming a professional writer, reading was her true and constant passion into adulthood.

Eventually this passion evolved into the desire to create the stories she couldn't find in print or online.

Therefore, Claudia officially began her writing career in 1999, working on what would eventually reincarnate into the Devil's Descent series. (She did begin writing four years prior, working on a traditional romance novel, but never shared her work publicly. The notebooks containing her original work still sit on a bookshelf collecting dust.) She spent every free moment posting her work online, balancing a writer's life against the real life of raising two young sons and earning a college degree. After graduating in 2003 with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Claudia spent a ridiculously short period of time at a computer software advertising firm before returning back home to care for her children.

It was during this year that she wrote the first edition of Vicious Bliss: fallen. Claudia, being a unrepentant creature of control, had VBF published in 2004. However, life eventually happened and Claudia rejoined the workforce in 2005. The next three years witnessed the disappearance of Claudia D. Christian as Claudia turned away from writing and became consumed in a reality outside of the one in her imagination. She continued to write sporadically, but not with the fervor of earlier years.

However, the stories slithering in her mind refused to lay still. They pushed, prodded, and consumed Claudia; forcing her to see what her life had become without them. Claudia reconciled and embraced that significant part of herself in 2008, vowing never to lose herself in empty expectations again. The experiences of the last three years darkened the tone of her writing and allowed Claudia to showcase insights and lessons learned.

Now she has chosen to return to her roots and focus on delivering her original creations via her website. Although Claudia will traditionally publish each completed title, she is seeking to challenge the accepted flow of storytelling. She is excitedly looking forward to religiously publishing content each week for her Members. By doing so, she hopes to take storytelling back to the intimacy of two people engaging in moments of literary pleasure.
