Hope your January has been rocking and awesome. I’m happy to announce my latest offering in the Marcus & Marguerite world first introduced in Dark Desires: Sold. Don’t Regret This is the longest piece, so far, in this universe and I really enjoyed playing in their world and discovering more M & M facets.
Six weeks after tying Marguerite to their bed, Marcus summons her to Copenhagen for a week of fun, laughter, and toe-curling passion. Suddenly stripped bare while in his arms, Marguerite is struck with feelings that go beyond basic lust.
Her heart, frozen and untouchable for so long, has thawed and love for Marcus is to blame.
Unable to hide from her feelings, Marguerite is coming to terms with her love for him when a moonlit stroll in a park threatens everything Marcus and Marguerite hold dear.
Marguerite watches Marcus kill a man and knows she’s not the only one stripped bare.
Faced with seeing what her lover is capable of, will Marguerite allow love for her assassin to grow or will Marcus’s brutality finally close her heart forever?
Marguerite kicked off her heels. She then unfastened her suit jacket, holding his gaze steady with hers, before tossing it onto the bed. Her steel gray chemise followed. She unbuttoned her slacks and let them slide off her body.
“Oh, baby. You’re killing me here.”
Marguerite placed her hands on hips. Marcus appreciated her black lingerie with long, lingering sweeps of his gaze.
“Whose dumb idea was it to let garters and stockings to go out of style?”
She finally smiled, unable to resist his playfulness.
“Would you like me to wear these more often?”
“You know I do.” Marcus indicated she turn around with a little twirl of his finger.
Marguerite obliged him, turning around in a neat circle with her arms out like a porcelain ballerina.
Marcus groaned and slapped the belt against his thigh. “Perfect. Just perfect.”
She cocked her head and smiled a little uncertainly. “Perfect?”
“Oh, yes. You are the perfect girl for me, Marguerite.” He crooked his finger, beckoning her to join him. Marcus waited until she stood right in front of him. He tipped her chin up. “I just don’t know what gets into you sometimes. You get the strangest ideas, don’t you?”
“I don’t know what you mean.”
Marcus pouted. He shook his head and asked, “Lies now, is it? And we’ve come so far!”
Marguerite exhaled softly. “You dizzy me. Everything gets sloshed. Inside. Out.”
He smiled, pleased by her words. “I do like to have that kind of effect on you, baby. It makes being with so very, very fun. Do you remember what I told you the last time we played?”
“I think so.”
“You only think?”
Marguerite shifted her feet. Marcus played with her as a cat does a mouse. She could only hope it would turn out better for her than the poor mouse.
