Devil’s Descent II: impure ebook Release

Estimated reading time: 3 – 4 minutes

Devil’s Descent I: purgatory sees Julian finding Lily before abandoning her in an uncharacteristic moment of conscience. This sequel takes us to where it all began.

Lily Walker, resident Resurrector for a town that doesn’t exist, finds herself contemplating murder.

Julian Douglas, Pureblood Vampire and Lily’s former love, finds himself contemplating the same.

However, attempted murder of the other leads Lily and Julian to realize love and hate aren’t so simple when sanity is a fleeting thing and obsession cannot be killed…

I’m super-duper happy to announce the release of the second book in my psychotic vampire love saga “Devil’s Descent II: impure” in Amazon Kindle format and multiple formats at Smashwords. Keeping in vein with all my work, it is dark, angst-filled, morally ambiguous, and meant to be read with an open mind.

EXCERPT

“You want it. You want to know if you can tame me, make me your lapdog. It’s the challenge. I know it. I let you play because I know that won’t happen. But I do so look forward to watching you try.”

Lily mouth caved in on itself. She hung there in his outstretched hold like a puppet with broken strings. She didn’t know what to do, what to think or feel.

“Do you still see him, Lily?” His fanged smile held tenderness, mocking her with beautiful artifice. “Do you see enough of him to make playing with me worth it? Is that how you’ll justify it?”

Tears scalded her eyes. She wanted him to throw her to the ground, grind her beneath his expensive shoes, stomp her into the dirt, and make her oblivious to everything especially to the bitterness roiling in her stupid heart.

“Or have you forgotten him already? Does he seem more like a dream, a figment of your imagination?”

Julian’s persuasive voice neatly picked away at Lily’s grief.

“I’m willing to notice you, to give you what you need, and all I ask for is your compliance. That’s not all that hard, is it?”

“You want more than I can give.”

The whisper, broken and disconsolate, made the vampire tilt his head. He studied the pitiful scrap of girl dangling in his hold. Lily turned her face sideways. Her teeth buried into her lower lip, struggling not to let the pitiful mewls escape her throat.

“You are truly lost, little girl. You leave me no choice.”
